Both the Department of Finance and Personnel and the Northern Ireland Audit Office provide input to the workshop programme. In light of the restoration of the Northern Ireland Public Accounts Committee and particularly the issue of the updated Audit Committee handbook under cover of a Dear Accounting Officer letter in July 2007 it is felt that this is a particularly opportune time to re-consider this important subject.
