Public Accountability for Board Members

A half-day seminar for non-exective directors of NDPBs, which will be held in Malone House, Belfast.
This half-day seminar targets non-executive directors appointed to non-departmental public bodies (NDPBs).
Brian Whalley will present the seminar, which will include contributions from the Northern Ireland Audit Office and the Department of Finance and Personnel.
The aims of the programme are to provide participants with an overview of:
- what is meant by corporate governance, accountability and responsibility in government;
- stewardship of public funds;
- regularity and propriety in the conduct of public business;
- the personal responsibility of the designated Accounting Officer;
- the role of the Northern Ireland Audit Office; and
- the work of the Public Accounts Committee.
The seminar fee is £200 + VAT.
