Report on the NICS Masterclass with Judith Gillespie OBE, Deputy Chief Constable, Police Service of Northern Ireland

With ever tighter financial constraints over the next few years the Northern Ireland Civil Service, like all public sector organisations will face major in the years ahead challenges. Effective, positive leadership will be paramount. This Masterclass was an opportunity to hear from the Deputy Chief of one of Northern Ireland's public agenicies that, since the Patten reforms of policing, has successly undergone a major transformation programme.

During this Masterclass, the Deputy Chief Constable gave a personal perspective drawing extensively on her experiences of and the day-to-day challenges involved in running a high-profile public sector organisation.
